Solved! Alternative to XGIMI MoGo Pro Portable Projector

I was initially interested in the XGIMI MoGo Pro for its portability (taking from living room to bedroom), built-in Android TV, autofocus/auto keystone correction, and decent speaker.

I bought a discounted one for $450, and I like almost everything about it...except that it is really only watchable in a completely pitch dark room (OK in bedroom, not great in living room).

Are there any alternatives around $500 price range that would be better alternatives to the XGIMI?

I was considering the Epson 880, but understand that I will sacrifice portability & will likely have to just watch it in either the living room or the bedroom.

I'm very curious what projectors you guys like at that price point. Thanks for your help!

You won't find any small projectors that are that bright enough for a fairly lit room. A 2,000 lumen projector should be good in a non-darkened room, look for those and see what you can get in the size you want.
