AM/FM Digital Tuner on 10 year old Denon AV Receiver has stopped working

The AM/FM Digital Tuner on our 10 year old Denon AV Receiver has recently stopped working and now won't pick up any radio stations - even when tuning manually. Is this likely to be an age related problem that may end up costing more to repair than the unit is now worth or is it more likely to be an easy fix if I can find someone to repair it?

I doubt you will find anyone that is interested in working on it. -- Put the model into an E-Bay search -- I bet you can buy another, just like it for $100 ....

Unless you have a sentimental attachment, I would get a new one...

If you have space to accommodate another component, and want to stick with AM/FM rather than going for DAB, Denon's own TU-260L (various versions) is a great little tuner if you give it a signal of decent strength, and it can usually be picked up cheaply on ebay.

I agree with Triophile that you can pick up some great tuners for pennies these days. You might also want to add a Sonos Connect to the receiver instead. This will cost more but will transform it into the best source of music you could ask for. Internet radio (with all the local channels) will change the way you use your system. It would also give you access to all the online music streaming services (free and pay). Play any music files on computers you own and controlled with any smartphone, tablet and computer with free apps.
