I have an Amazon Fire box which has input from the internet. This works fine. The output from Amazon Fire box is HDMI which also works fine to my Smart TV. But I want to hook-up the Amazon Fire to my projector (without involving the TV) which has an HDMI input. This works great to project the picture, but the projector has no speakers, and no other output. I'm guessing then that the audio is also coming from the Amazon Fire through the HDMI output. I also have a pair of old Aiwa speakers which if possible I'd like to utilise (either as a pair or singly) - if not I obviously need a different option. The Aiwa speakers though only have old classic 2-core speaker wire, and no separate power, so I'm guessing the power would have come down the speaker wire too (from my now dead Aiwa stereo system). I'm thinking can I get an HDMI splitter (1 female input, 2 female output). Then the HDMI output from Amazon Fire comes into the splitter, with one splitter output to the projector, and the other splitter output to subsequently be 'converted' to send the audio down the 2-core to the Aiwa speakers. Any solutions gratefully received...thank you
