Wow $800 for an Android. We all know that price for any Android phone drops $100 a month so I guess people will be waiting it out.

So the phone is worth about $400, and then you pay $400 for all those stupid Samsung vs Apple ads? I think I'll be sticking with my original Galaxy S, and check S IV when it comes out.

[citation][nom]hoof_hearted[/nom]Overpriced much? As Amazon had Galaxy S2s last year on Black Friday for a penny.[/citation]

With a two year contract they were $0.01 iPhone 4s is $700 for unlocked 16GB, and the S3 is more phone than the 4s. That being said, its still not worth $800 for me, as I could buy a top end android tablet, and a windows phone for the same $800. Or a laptop and an S2

Way too much for a phone with those specs, but then again, smartphones in general are overpriced for what they offer.
For the cost of that phone, can get the free phone from the phone company, then buy a cheap tablet, then use the rest of the money to get a laptop and have a full suit of productivity tools for the same or less money than that smartphone.

That phone probably cost at most $150 to make and by the time it makes it's way through the various retail levels, the price markup eventually hits $800

AT&T doesn't give any discount if you are out of a contract. That being said, you might as well be in one. Doesn't mean you are really locked in so-to-speak. It just mean you will have to pay an early termination fee if you quit early (far less than $800)

I paid 500 for the best android phone last year at the time......800 bucks for 2 more cores than I have now and the same amount of ram and same quality camera....no the screen and the two cores dont add up to 300 bucks worth of improvement....not even close. 600 is the most I could understand for a non-iphone affair and thats if it has the nvidia graphics core

Is the phone going to operate on HSPA+ "4g" then,..???

FYI, I get about 5-15Mbs down and 1 up from my GSII on AT&T right now.

Also, I like the CPU better on the GS2 than the GS2 Skyrocket... I think I'll be making that SOC tradeout again for the NON-LTE version of the Galaxy S III.

hmmm...the phone is overpriced..way much overpriced...
On the other hand, the prices for SGSII, G-Nexus and G-Note became way more interesting at the moment.
G-Note was also way overpriced several months ago.
