[citation][nom]godmodder[/nom]He was just holding it wrong...[/citation]

I'm surprised it took someone this long to bring this up, it would have been awesome had she said.. "Are you holding it wrong?"

iPad might explode when under direct sunlight. Jobs said so. In fact, he said all electronics have this defect. It's in the design, not Apple's fault.

[citation][nom]Vladislaus[/nom]So you admit that Apple is struggling in the desktop market because it's mac vs pc ad.[/citation]

Struggling would be the wrong work. I would admit that Windows it the dominant OS, and in the Mac vs PC. But just look at Apple's growth rate for the past few quarters and $40 billion in cash in the bank and tell me that Apple is "struggleing".

The Kindle does e-reading amazingly, but doesn't do much else. The Apple iPad does e-reading bad, but everything else decently or quite well. Apple users don't care about being able to do one thing perfectly, they just want the machine to do a lot of different things without causing problems. Also, Apple users want it to look good no matter how much that affects its useability. (ie. glossy screens)

I hate glossy screens with a passion, they should all die. Who gives a crap about how it looks when its off if it can't be used with any bright light source shining on it. For technology, useability > look anyday.

[citation][nom]ericburnby[/nom]I bet Apple loves all these competitor ads making fun of their products. What's really funny is all the haters who think these ads are great. Problem is, they don't understand what's really going on.Anyone in advertising knows that when competitors are making these types of ads that you must be doing something good. Really good. Nobody makes these ads about companies who are struggling or having difficulties selling. Only companies at the top who are very successful get this type of attention.[/citation]
Then I guess Microsoft really had something with Vista when Apple started the OS X vs. Windows ads.

[citation][nom]toallthehaters[/nom]Journalism? Sad when all you got, Jane, is another retarded jab at Apple.[/citation]

Cry us a river.

You mean the I'm a Mac ad campaign?

[citation][nom]Humans think[/nom]The summer is over at least in the Northern hemisphere (bad timing). And not everywhere is in Miami or Greece, so sun may not be a real problem for many people of USA and Europe. Just a thought...[/citation]

Im in eastern Canada and we still get sunlight... Though it might not be enough to melt your iPad by -20°C. So kids if you have overheating issues with a Apple product the solution is simple! Move up north.

Who the hell goes to the beach to sit around and read a friggin' electronic book?! Get off your lazy butts and do something!

And what does it say of the intellect of a Kindle buyer that would spend more on a pair of stupid sunglasses?

Kindle + kids = fail
iPad + movie or games = kids entertained, especially on the long road trip (are we there yet?)

[citation][nom]icepick314[/nom]iPad is supposed to be indoors...in a basement where no sunlight is ever present...exactly where Apple fanboys belong...[/citation]
If so then its even bigger fail.
Indoors you most likely use your normal PC and takes something mobile when going out.
If someone buy ipad or something similar to use it only in basement then he for sure need medical check.

[citation][nom]sabot00[/nom]We got Motorola's Droids dumping on Apple, Microsoft giving Apple a funeral, and now Amazon's joining the orgy.[/citation]

Everybody hates Apple. Humankind has still hope left. 😀

Wasn't these your words?

"Anyone in advertising knows that when competitors are making these types of ads that you must be doing something good."

Well the new kindle does have a browser.

TommySch, nice hyperbole. It's more like I shake my head that I have pity on the BS that tom's has turned into.

Apple sucks, everyone nods (like sheep)
Apple is good, everyone froths at the mouth (like rabid dogs)

Fall in line people. You say Apple lovers are all the same... TAKE A GOOD LOOK AT YOURSELVES. buncha followers.

Knowledge made us much worst.

yes Tommy, but don't EVER confuse Knowledgeable with Intelligent. I am a firm believer that most people on here are knowledgeable but few are actually making comments that require thought. Take a number Tom, because you sound like every other Apple hating (for no good reason) poster. To you, Tommy, Apple can never make anything good because you have formed your opinion. Sadly, it is formed opinions that prohibit us from seeing an unbiased truth. Not with just this thread but with anything.

[citation][nom]wicko[/nom]Aww, looks like someone's feelings are hurt[/citation]
For the record, I'm not an Apple user. I'm just really sad this isn't the Tom's Hardware of ten years ago, when there was tolerance and no trash talking.

I, ah, have a laptop for emails, browsers, videos, and pictures. And a custom-built desktop for games. Because who in their right minds would want to play games on a freaking iPad?
