Amd-FX 6300 / 1060 can it run vr?

I am planning on upgrading my rig to an asus geforce gtx 1060 turbo with a Amd-FX 6300, i am wondering if this is vr capable?

Do you have the FX6300, its a weak CPU. The GPU is ok for VR but that CPU is going to struggle.

GPU isn't a problem. But take oculus for instance, they say i5 4690k is the CPU to get for a good VR experience.

VR games likely require good use of a few threads/cores at the moment. While AMD's good at multi threaded / multi core performance at the price range, single goes in the gutter. Let's also not discount that an FX 6300 is basically an Ivy Bridge i3, made more power hungry.

The problem with AMD is likely the single core / thread performance is down in the gutter when compared to intel. You should make the jump for a stable/enjoyable experience.
