AMD motherboards with core unlock?

Are there any new itx motherboards that offer a core unlock in bios for the older 2 core AMD CPUs? I'm interested in getting a used phenom x2, but enjoy the new features some itx motherboards are offering.

Or am I crazy for even bothering with that chipset? I've thought about just getting an intel i3/i5.

I don't know about the older 2 cores, but of course you can do it with the newer 4 and 6 cores. Personally, I'd go with the newer stuff and get an i5 and a newer motherboard.
