Hey, I'm on a tight budget and managed to narrow the search down to 2 laptops. Which one would you recommend and why? I'm gonna use the laptop for school work, Internet navigation, some light Photoshopping, and gaming (I'm okay with playing in low-medium details at 720p resolution in current games).

Laptop 1: Asus R510DP-XX118D
- Processor: AMD Quad-Core A10-5750M, 2.50GHz
- Display: 15.6"
- System RAM: 4GB RAM
- Video Card: AMD Radeon HD 8670M 2GB

Laptop 2: ASUS 15.6" X555LD
- Processor: Intel Core i3-4030U 1.9GHz Haswell
- Display: 15.6"
- System RAM: 4GB RAM
- Video Card: GeForce 820M 2GB

I had a full pc that was as strong as option #1 just over a year ago, I couldn't even play assassin's creed black flag at the barebones minimum setting. Just don't get your hopes up, okay?

And yes, #1 is the stronger among the two.

This is not playable fps, he's got maybe 5-10fps. If you don't mind getting dizzy and vomiting after an hour of playing like that, then sure, go ahead!

Did you read the second part of that comment? The one that starts with "So if ..." ?

Yes I did, and what I said still applies. having 10-15fps instead of 5-10 still constitutes my aforementioned comment. No means no. The laws of physics won't bend on your behalf.

I ran an Acer Laptop with a A10 46XX and the same GPU. I think it was the V5 something or other. I played GW2 on medium high settings at no less than 60 FPS in World vs World. I would def go with 8 GB of the fastest RAM and look to put a SSD in the system, as that will vastly decrease load times for online stuff. contrary to what you may be told, the A10 does in fact operate in Dual Graphics mode on that setup. Unless your going to look at an I5 or better go with the AMD setup as it will vastly outperform the I3.
