Amp hook up

Hello,
How do you hook up an ipod to your surround sound. It also has a subwoofer.

your receiver may have a portable connection in the front to allow your ipod to connect to it using a 3.5" male to male connecter (http/www.amazon.com/3-5mm-Stereo-Male-Cable-ft/dp/B0002ZPJZO) If it dosn't, you will need a stereo male to RCA (http/www.amazon.ca/Stereo-3-5mm-2-RCA-Y-Cable-Compatible/dp/B0027RPUVS/ref=pd_cp_sw_2)
