Analog tv hookup to Bose 300 Soundbar Solutions

Hello. I have the bose 300 soundbar and an old sony tv with rca output jacks only. I have attempted to make it work with a HDMI to Composite Converter which converts digital HDMI to Analog, but its not working. Any suggestions?

If you are using cable service, a direct audio connection from set-top box to soundbar maybe the ticket.
