Android 4.3 Question

Is it possible to connect an Android phone to a fixed IP network? I'm trying this out on an Android phone - HTC One, and it's connecting to a Wifi router that's attached to a fixed IP network. And so far my first round of attempts to do so have not been successful. Is the setting for changing an IP address on Android buried in the settings somewhere?

settings/connections > wifi > hold on connected network > modify network config > check show advanced options > win

Oh I figured it out. Under the advanced tab there's a setting for DLNA auto-IP, checking that will bypass the fixed IP.

Apparently though that only allows for an automatic IP address, not a fixed one for my system. I'm testing this to see if our Verizon-based phones will connect to the network to save money on data.
