[citation][nom]Darkerson[/nom]That is seriously awesome. Not very many people like him left in the world. Go Andy![/citation]

That is because of the 'individualism' which prevails due to 'capitalist' system we live in. Very few people understand that they only need that much money to live at good living standard, I am sure people who work with him will not hesitate to limits to achieve what he wants them too.

They do say Google is the best place to work, and this would be the perfect boss in an amazing company!

But 100 people getting 10k-50k!? How much bonus does one guy need!
Obviously not short of cash himself and very generous to share it out.

Prior to that, he cofounded Danger Inc. (birthplace of the Sidekick) and acted as CEO before it was acquired by Google. After that, he founded Android, the company behind the now extremely successful Android OS
Dang, Google's just buying up his companies. Wait, wasn't it Microsoft that acquired Danger?

Danger was bought my Microsoft (not Google) and that didn't take place until 2008, so long after Andy Rubin left Danger that it's irrelevant to this blurb about Rubin. Maybe something like this would be more clear: 'Rubin joined Google in 2005. Prior to that, he co-founded Danger Inc. which was the birthplace of the Danger Hiptop mobile device (branded in the U.S.A. as the T-Mobile Sidekick). Rubin left Danger in 2003 and co-founded Android Inc., the company behind the now extremely successful Android OS. Google purchased Android in 2005, when Android was just 22 months old. Google retained much of the Android staff including Andy Rubin who became Senior VP of Mobile.'

No SOCIALISM is the force conformity to spread the wealth in this case. This man did this on his OWN. To give a better example, Obamacare is SOCIALISM, I don't have a choice in what I get to do with my money for my health, and I have to help other people with their health, this isn't going to be an option. Giving to charity is like what this man did, no one forced him and he decided to do a good thing for others. THIS IS THE MODEL not SOCIALISM!!! I do however think people need to hold their bosses to a higher standard with greater expectations.

A lot of stuff is socialism you dumbass. It's called living in modern civilization. If you don't like it then move to some libertarian paradise like Somalia.

Many people don't actually understand how the so called 'choice in health care' means. I sign a letter which pays millions to whatever insurance company happen to be I am dealing with it in a given time period and I know how they operate. I can quote an example from AIG, where one of their very senior person admitted that they deliberately deny even the legitimate cases simply because ...... they are told to maintain the bottom line at a certain level. I gave them boot for our next policy cycle; end of story.

This guy walks in line with Google's motto: Do not be evil. In fact, he does good deeds. Keep this guy for life Google.Thumbs up for Andy Rubin. There are too many classless A-holes execs. They all need to learn from Mr. Rubin.

Considering the likes of Mr Eric Schmidt (Mr. Evil), and Chris Wiggins (Mr Goth )who created that nasty black bar of death on the google search page) Google needs to keep as many people like Mr Rubin as they can. You see at Google, the phrase " do no evil" doesn't apply anymore it seems.

so are you a yahoo man or a bing! man? Also your logic is flawed, Rubin works at Google, Rubin did no evil, Google's motto still applies.

On the plus side you are slightly more intelligent than the socialist guy that posted earlier.

You do realize that for "Obamacare" to be truly considered socialist by any stretch of the imagination it would have had to change U.S. healthcare into a single-payer, government run system, which it didn't do by any means. Actually, it ended up giving more money to the private insurance companies. And I can see based on what you said and how you said it, that you just spout the same rhetoric that you hear, with not much independent thought. Do some independent research first before you just start spouting off news sound bites.

Haha...I WAS a google-phile....until they forced that annoying and distracting black bar of death on us.....you know if you could customize it via google I wouldn't have an issue....BUT you can't. The damn black albatross glares at you and pulls your eye away from the search box. There are thousands of complaints about it over in the google web search design forum.

Now I primarily use Alta Vista (home page) and Duck Duck Go I have also noticed in the past year that Google search results appear to be lesser in quality. Maybe paid advertisers get their listings at the top ....who knows?

No my logic is not flawed, Mr Goth is a fairly new addition to Google and Mr Schmidt was caught as a Bilderberg meeting this past spring. Sorry but that is evil.

Rubin seems like the old guard who believed in "Do no evil", Mr Schmidt and Mr Wiggins do not.

Okay then, please explain how the "if you can't afford insurance, we'll buy it for you with tax dollars" clause is not socialism?

...

Do some independent research first before you just start spouting off the White house PR spin.
