The next thing im going to do.. delete my fb account.. I dont even use it.. so im not bothered coz there is nothing interesting in FB.. maybe I can give G+ a try.. hey wait a minute!!! G+ its a business time for you!!!

So facebook goes down; who gives a hoot ?
It is a colossal waste of time and a heaven for would be stalkers.
Ah yes, and it helps you to find out if your significant other is cheating on you...

Seriously people. Start readingup on information befor posting. One article dosen't count as being "informed". Anonymous has denounced their affiliation with this attack. It's a fake. Media is just trying to blame this Anonymous. In reality it's just a bunch of jackass 4chaners acting like they know more than simple SQL-Injections and DDoS

[citation][nom]otacon72[/nom]There are very very few "hackers" in the world and not one of them are a member of Anon. They couldn't hack themselves out of a paper bag.[/citation]
Really?! So if LuLz and Anon DDoS a server enough it spits out information??? I think somebody played a little too much super mario growing up...

Also... as a side comment... I looked at the story and knowing Mark's position on SOPA/PIPA and Anon position on free speech, it seemed very weird to me. Ultimately, FB is an incredible free speech tool and many good things happened because of FB (many bad also, but that's a different story... the corporation is a totally different thing from the tool they created).
Anonymous@YourAnonNews
Lulz at people saying we would take down Twitter, FaceBook, and YouTube... why would Anon take down how we send our messages?

If Anonymous is truly anonymous, how do they know it's fake? They can't be anonymous if they work together. Me thinks the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. Damn southpaws! Maybe the real Anonymous is planning the attack, and the nay-sayers are the posers?

IDK if they ar going to do it or not but if they do I can see why. All of these companies claim to be against sopa but none actually did anything about it. FB went on as usual and google just did the lame black band over their logo.

So not only should FB be knocked offline, but so should google (if possible) any any other company that claimed to be against sopa but didn't close down like wikipedia did.

I admit it was a slight pain not being able to look up things on wikipedia but the cause was well worth it.

 exactly what i was thinking.

[citation][nom]kewlmunky[/nom]They outsmart our government on quite a few occasions do you really think they would be this stupid?[/citation]
Lol, they outsmarted the government? Exactly when? Last I checked the government had rounded up dozens of these losers. Defacing a web page isn't "outsmarting" anything, it's just the admin (who in all likelihood is a contractor anyway, not a government employee) not doing his job. Taking down a CIA page isn't hacking the CIA, either, which they love to brag about.

I really am starting to like Anonymous. Makes it really easy to figure out who knows anything about security. If you're impressed by Anonymous, you don't know shit.

I think Anonymous lives on the East Coast. He's been in his parent's basement so long he doesn't know that there is any time zone out there except Eastern Standard Time. Let's just hope his alarm goes off in time for him to wake up, run upstairs and eat his Alphabits, run down again and get ready to help us take down Facebook. Yay Anonymous!

Sadly the only way someone could not conceivably get caught by participating in this is by using a NIC that has no traceable MAC, while using a AP that is public and by hoping that an ISP wouldn't get involved by running reverse lookups during the attack. The idea that there is no danger of getting caught is foolish. Unfortunately , I'm sure that many n00bs will try to be apart of this if it goes down and some will be caught and punished for their stupidity. trying to attack FB is like the Japanese bombing pearl harbor. You will awaken a sleeping giant who has so many resources you won't know how they will react.
