Hello all,
I recently received this Jensen JPS-10 sub as a hand me down from my step-dad. Since receiving it, it has been intermittently making a pop/groan/croak sound.
Always sounds exactly like this and can't be replicated by rewinding and playing the same part again. It is hooked up to my Onkyo NR-6050 AVR with all of our media playing through an Apple TV.
My step-dad knows a good bit about audio equipment so I asked him for advice and he suggested it could maybe be an input or power issue. I have tried two different (used) sub cables and the problem hasn't seemed to change. The power cable is hardwired into the sub so I can't easily try a different one there.
If anybody here has experienced something similar or knows other things that I can do to try to troubleshoot, I would be very grateful.
I am unable to attach a link to imgur without the post getting marked as spam but I do have one that I can share with anyone that might be able to help.
TIA!
