Any phone with protruding edges?

Hi!
I experienced a small issue when my Samsung Galaxy A5 broke - to be more exact it's screen went totaly black after one single unlucky drop.

For 2 years I was used to my old Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini. I liked it a lot, because it had perfect protruding metal edges - so whenever and however it fell it never broke... (the only thing that happened was failure of battery, but it's still not the screen.)
Now I was thinking to get the screen repaired - but that's just way too expensive in my opinion. Then I was thinking about new phone - but I came to an obstacle: I couldn't find any phone for a reasonable price that would not break that easily and looks elegant. All the phones unfortunately nowadays have those rounded screens that after a single drop break easily... What is really sad that even their Samsung oficial cover didn't save the phone at all...

So my question is: Do you know any phone for a good price that looks good and has protruding edges so it won't break that easily?

While I can't answer the question directly, as I can't think of a phone that fits what you want, have you considered just putting whatever phone you get in a case/cover? That would give you more stability.

That's the thing that I had it in their oficial Samsung A5 flip case...
