Any way to speed up getting the files to and external drive? As it is now it is transferring at like 16KB/s

Solution USAFRet Sep 29, 2017 No, there is no way to speed that up. The drive is dying. The best solution would be to ditch the drive, and recover from the backup you made before this happened.
