yes there is http/web.whatsapp.com - but it is definitely intended to be used only on a desktop

when I login from my s7 edge - but it's such a pain to use - everything is so small and slow ...

why can't they make an app that would duplicate WhatsApp ...

Because WhatsApp is linked to a phone number, and a phone number is only available on a single device at once?

FB, Skype etc all use log-ins, hence you can use across various devices.
