I want to be there when that guy tries to remove IE from Windows 7, bet he starts crying when his OS goes for a crap, will blame Apple for it.

[citation][nom]eodeo[/nom]the more i know about itunes the less i like them- and i really really disliked them to start with.[/citation]
If you bothered to learn the facts, you might have a different opinion. You can sync with iTunes by writing (or buying) your own sync module, as RIM did with the Blackberry Media Sync. Apple provides all the technical documentation needed to do it. Palm refuses to write their own sync module and continues to violate USB-IF rules prohibiting them from using another company's USB Vendor ID, and then whines about Apple being a bully.

Palm is being a cry baby, throwing a tantrum because they're not getting their way, rather than just writing a sync module. It's also foolish business practice to base one of you "key features" upon a competitor's software, a competitor who has repeatly indicated that they will go out of their way to keep your product from working if you don't use the published and approved method of synching with iTunes.

I refuse to support Palm, and every Palm customer should be worried that Palm continues to refuse to use the documented and supported method leaving Palm's customers in the middle of the battle.

Its true I have no idea what syncing is, or how or why would anyone
want it or use it in conjunction with media, let alone music files.

I like to sort my music by player and or hardware used. No portable player has anywhere near enough space as much as I have music on my hdd, and none of them support winamp- or if some do, i dont have them anyway. So, I end up having to sort and categorize each music player I use, no syncing could be possible, at least for the moment, and at least, not for me (or am I wrong here?)

thats a perfect example of - i have no idea what you've just said, or why should i care. I did get that you dont think that apple was at fault.

same applies to the rest of your comment.

I was merely pointing out that itunes borders malware on Windows. It might be so much better on Mac that I wouldnt recognize it; but somehow, given macs history of being a mac- i sincerely doubt it- than again, i haven't really seen it in actions, so there's a chance I'm wrong about how great it is on Macs.

Back to how much itunes suck- seeing how much it sucks, I dont know why would anyone in their right mind want to use it- let alone try to steal it- as you point out.

Maybe when you're a third world country (palm) even crap (ituenes) seams like gold.

I hope that clarifies my position a bit. Thanks for taking the time to read through.

I am an iPhone owner personally, but I love that the Palm is fighting back. Apple is doing alot of this crap (especially lately with the Atom processors) and has thoroughly pissed me off.

And I agree with blackened144 on the MS issue with IE. They should have told the EU to stick it. Actually, I think everyone should tell the EU to stick it. They are about as useful as the UN, so somewhere between 0.000001% and 0.000002% useful, and that's only because they have a nice building on valuable land.

why can't palm just stick with syncing with Windows media player, winamp, or even songbird? I still like the idea of palm coming out with "PalmPlayer" where it's their own "competition" to the itunes/windows media method of mp3 playing.
All Palm is trying to do is piggy back off the success of someone else's program so they don't have to come up with one themselves.
