I do not 100% agree with Obamas agenda nor did I vote for him but you know what it is ridiculous to deny this picture. Lets put it this way, It should be your decision to put what you want on your phone, not the company who manufactures it. This image could be taken many ways but maybe Apple does'nt want to be portrayed as taking political sides per se. Remember what makes this country great and function correctly is checks and balances. As much as hard line democrats hate republican values either side if given total autonomy over the country would run it into the ground. gone unchecked over decades under democratic rule we would inch closer and closer to socialism (communism) the exact thing which we fought half of the last century to purge from the world. If the republicans had their way for years we would be returned to a country where church and state were intertwined and being different or having a different opinion would not be tolerated.
We (liberal and conservative) are both correct and both wrong in our own ways and the only thing that keeps us as a country in the middle of the political "road" is our own opposing views.

personally i think it should be banned also. id consider my self a conservative. That in mind i wouldnt want to be reminded every time i see that photo of who's selling our country out by the trillions to other country's bailing out auto makers and banks not to mention people like berny maydof i don't know the correct spelling of his name but billions of dollars just with one man .. what about all those who have not been found out. This would have never made it to this site if it were mine. If it would have been kept under the umberlla of "tech" maybe but I dont know, dont want to know a tech article author's political bias. Very irresponsible TH. 2 things I dont want to see on a tech site are politics and religion. There are plenty of places to read,argue,etc on the internet without brining it here as it pertains to those two things. Very disappointed this was given any room on this site.

Having a picture of Obama in an Apple application "might suggest" to some that Apple supports president Obama and thus alienate them from possible "coveted" sales which they worship on the altar of lust. Moreover, I suspect that some at Apple might be peeved that his has a BlackBerry rather than an I phone.

People spend hundreds of hours developing applications, then get rejected for ridiculous reasons. And of course one of the big rules at Apple is Apple is never wrong. The very concept of them being Apple negates the possibility of them being wrong.

If it wasn't for the doctrine of Apple infallibility, they developer would have ask them to reconsider their decision ... they would have checked it over again ... realized that their original decision was in error.

Apple never backs down, at least not through regular channels.

If they get enough bad press they will make an exception in this one case, but it won't change their policies.
