If it's anything like the voice recognition in my Ford, I won't be impressed. Every time I ask it to play a certain band or song, it's always wrong!

Sorry, your password must be between 6 and 16 characters, have a letter, number and a special character. Please repeat.

If voice recognition really works that well then even I would buy an iPhone, and I hate apple.
But it likely wont. Still going to go to a store and play though!

If it works like in the video its very good. And maybe it is the future for a great interaction with phones and tablets and maybe Apple/Siri does it right but I still feel bad speaking to a device. Will I be a dinosaur in denial about this... anyway If you are driving alone I think there is no a better way to communicate and interact than giving a verbal command.

Headline correction:

Apple's Siri is the Birth of Star Trek's Computer if you ignore all the existing products that already do the same or more than their new product (or you actually drink the nonsensical cool-aid of Apple's marketing circus)

[citation][nom]mobrocket[/nom]honestly, has voice recogination kind of been pushed to the side, because people dont want to talk directly to other people, just inanimate objects.... isnt that why texting and facebook have become so popular?[/citation]

There. I fixed it.

Computer decrypt all encrypted local law enforcement radio traffic from my city police department and have it in a scanning radio mode.

Yeah, so everyone is going to walk around proclaiming their text messages and friends' phone numbers for everyone around to hear and maybe we'll even be able to verbally enter passwords! Sounds brilliant! But the fun doesn't stop there! Remember how annoying it is to hear people talk on their phones in public spaces? Well, it's about to get worse!

[citation][nom]back_by_demand[/nom]Magical, Apple just invented voice recognition....Many years after dictation software has been on PCs and phone, but ignore all thoseAPPLE INVENTED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!/not[/citation]

No, as usual Apple made it useable tech for the average person. Yet again. And now the real sheeple will follow also 'yet again' and scramble that theirs is better and, as you did, claim Apple didn't invent it. So transparent and stupid. GO APPLE !!!!!

Marcus (article author), well realized and well written.
Can't wait for the android heads to copy this tech and proclaim theirs better (yet again).

You forgot to add, "...as seen from my little uber-biased iFan world (not that I even use other products and would have a basis for comparison)"

I've been using voice recognition on my Android for a while now. Maybe not to the extent Siri does, but in the end, most people will only use the parts Androids have had for a while.
