Hello.
I have an Archos 50d Neon Smartphone which was working correctly until it began to display "low disc space" alerts. The problem was solved just by deleting Whatsapp videos every time needed.
The phone then went off one day and, when it started again, the phone memory which originaly displayed 8 GB was then 256 MB.
The thing just kept going worse and worse until the current situation came : when I switch on the phone, I may wait for hours, all I see is the manifacturer's logo.
If connected to my Windows PC, the file explorer displays nothing, and Win 7 and 10 will detect "Archos 50d Neon" and "Android MTK" respectively, and both display the yellow triangle though the device driver is said to be the latest available when I try to update it.
If there is anything to do to recover the phone, please let me know and receive my anticipated gratitude.
Note : I cannot enter factory mode for, when I press the power button, the phone will display the Archos logo more than 5 minutes later.
Regards, Maat.

It sounds like you have either a virus, malware, or malicious app on the device. If it won't let you in at all, then a "Hard Reset" may be your only option. Which, sadly, would remove all your personal information. To do a "Hard Reset" try the following....

NOTE: Doing this will clear 'all' the data on your phone, so it is suggested you not choose this option unless you have to, or aren't worried about losing anything on the phone.

Be sure you back up any data you want to keep, to a computer or cloud account, before doing the reset.

To "Hard Reset" the phone...

1. Make sure that the phone is actually powered off.

2. Remove your SD card, if there is one in the device.

3. Press the "Power" and the "Volume Up" buttons, together...

5. Next use "Volume Down" button to get to the "wipe data/factory reset" option When in recovery mode the "Volume Up" and "Volume Down" buttons are how to can navigate and highlight what option you need.

6. Once you have selected the "wipe data/factory reset", press the "Power" button to select that option.

7. On the following screen, repeatedly press the "Volume Down" button until the "Yes - delete all user data" option is what is selected.

8. Then press the "Power" button to hard reset the phone.

9. If you took your SD card out in step 2, when the device is up and running again, reinstert the SD card.

Thank you for the tip. I'm afraid I really cannot get the phone to system recovery mode: whenever I try to power it up, or even when I connect it to the charger, it will take up to five minutes to display the manifacturer's logo. Thanks again.
