what's the point?....cell phones do what this thing does and they are better at it, at least the flash enabled ones from HTC do :) not mention LTE speed :)

Cell phones aren't 150 dollars with no contract. That's the point.


BTW Archos has had numerous cheap Android tablets out for over a year, so this isn't new, just another model. They can be modded for Google Market, but usually lack 3G/GPS. Depending on your needs they were a good value, but with tablets like the Kindle Fire coming to market now they should be aiming for a lower price point for something like this.

Still a nice high end mp3 player though.

What do you mean? $150 is extremely reasonable if the sound quality is good, especially considering it's using mobile device hardware.

Who would have thought.. Angry Birds on your alarm clock. LOL!

I could see this on your kitchen counter, skyping with your extended family (front facing camera) while doing some sort of project with your kids. This could easily be promoted as a replacement to your kitchen phone for video chat.
