Aspire 5720Z Ram and BIOS issues

I have an Acer Aspire 5720z laptop and I upraded the RAM with two 1gb memory cards upto the MAX of two GB. When I tried to start the computer itwindows would not boot. I could get into the setup and checked the RAM and it says 2047MB which is over the allowable 2000mb, even though I am only using 2 gb of RAM! any suggestions?

Try the ram 1 piece at a time...ignore the number difference, thats just the weird way windows counts...

You ram IS the same speed as the original ??

I will check the speed of each RAM. Should they always be the same?
