Astro mixamp anygood?

it apears that a familymember of myne wants to buy my turtlebeach dss 7.1 proseccor so i figure well ok but i need somthing in its place , i have a optical out and usb ill be using 3.5mm jacks

I have never used the Turtle Beach DSS, but I do own the MixAmp Pro (Wired Version).

It is awesome. Even though I have a Turtle Beach headset, I still went with the MixAmp Pro because of all the reviews online.

Take a look at posts on sites like (head-fi.org). Overall majority love the MixAmp and talk poorly of the DSS.


For the money, the MixAmp is the best virtual surround sound processor.
