I've had G51JX-A1 since 2010 and it has the nVidia GeForce GTS 360M graphics card. A few days ago, out of nowhere and during light usage, my display froze up and was followed by a blue screen saying something along the lines of "Windows attempt at recovering the graphics driver has failed." Since then, any time I try to boot up, I either get on the "Welcome" screen or not long after coloured dots or lines, a black screen, freezing, or any combination of that, followed by the blue screen described above, but I also sometimes get one that says something like "Windows has encountered an unrecoverable hardware error." I've formatted my disc and reinstalled Windows with no luck. Removing the nVidia drivers and running on the basic VGA graphics adapter works, but whenever I install any version of the drivers for the nVidia card, I get the same problem. I've opened up the bottom of the laptop and the card looks intact, but it's hard to see without removing the heatsink. Any ideas on what the problem might be or what I could do to fix it? If any more information is needed, I can provide that.
