I'm trying to decide between two laptops. My general computer needs are mostly basic stuff---Microsoft Office, serfing the net, and streaming videos from Youtube, Netflix, etc. But I also want to be able to play basic games like World of Tanks and be able to get good use of a Dolphin Emulator for GameCube and Wii. I don't need a high end GPU for the latest games, but I want something that is a reasonable mid range GPU for my needs.

1) The first laptop that I am considering is an ASUS K Series 15.6" Laptop - Black (Intel Core i5-4210U / 1TB HDD / 8GB RAM / Windows 8.1). I'm not entirely certain what GPU comes with this except that it is integrated. Obviously, I'll ask the salesperson when I can, but my guess is something like an HD 4400.

2) The second one is an Acer V3-472G-59XN Notebook NX.MMYAA.001, 14" Intel Core i5-4210U 1.7GHz 8GB 500GB HDD, Nvidia Geforce 840M HDMI BT W8.1.

My concern is this: The Acer has a much better GPU (840M), but I've read that Acer overall is not a great brand. By contrast, ASUS has a better overall reputation, but the GPU for this particular laptop is not great. (The Acer also has a smaller hardrive, but this doesn't matter to me---500GB is plenty).

Which laptop is best for my needs? Thanks!
