Asus laptop boot screen

My Asus laptop opens to the boot screen, and nothing we can do will let us past it... any ideas? None of the command prompts work, Ctr Alt Del just flicks the screen and it goes right back to boot screen.

What are you calling the "boot screen" - inside Windows or before it cuts in? If you are in Windows,does your Windows key work?

Finally, which version of Windows are you running? I ask only because there are different ways into Safe Mode depending on the version.
