Asus Laptop monitor attachment?

Hello I got a Asus UX32LN - And I got some pictures, Just wanna hear if the attachment should look like this:

It seems that there is a space between the main laptop and secondary part(screen/monitor)?? Should I be worried?

Looks like it lifts up and out a bit, prob the way it's hinged

Yeah I saw the picture, strange in my opinion.
