Asus Laptop-no battery detected

My Asus X551M laptop charger is broken but it still charged it but yesterday it said no battery detected-is it because of my laptop, i have had this laptop for a year and it only has 2% for battery.Please help me!

Hello,

What do you mean by broken? If the contacts are damaged or if the wire is damaged, I would recommend buy a replace charger. You can get one from amazon for 16 $ or so.

i bought a new wire and it is supposed to be delivered tomorrow but will my Laptop still work like normal
