Question Asus-laptop that won't charge or boot with AC-adapter

I've got a Asus F5550C Laptop that won't power on any more, or even charge(charging led stays off).
Tried the metod where you remove the battery and hold the power button for 40 seconds but that does not seem to work. The odd thing is that if i plugg in the battery to a similar asus-laptop, let it charge for some time and then plugg it back into the malfunctioning one it powers on.
Should mention that i've tested with another ac-adapter aswell.

Already checked that the motherboard receives power with a multimeter, and it does.


Anyone got some tips on how to solve this problem?

The charging part of the laptop might be faulty

Did you check the voltage while the AC adapter was plugged in, without the battery connected?

Nope, no voltage
Guess i've got to replace that cable somehow.

maybe the power jack in the laptop is not soldered properly anymore
