Asus laptop wont start up

I just got a brand new asus notebook PC and it will not start up. The manual says to leave it charging for 3 hours then hit the power button. Its been charging well over 3 hours, and when i hit the power button nothing happens. The green light turns on for power and charging but the screen is still black. There is also no way to take out the battery. Someone help please

if you are 100% sure u are hitting the correct power button then it looks like you got yourself lemon.

Consider requesting replacement or money back

I plugged my phone in and it started charging. That makes me think it
Might be the screen thats messed up?

try plugging in an external monitor and see if that gets you a display...if so, it might very well be the screen
