Hi,
I've checked all the manuals of your laptop and it doesn't say anything about turning off the keyboard backlight off. It would just say that it will increase and decrease the backlight by pressing fn+F3 to decrease and fn+F4 to increase it.
Do also try installing this ATK driver that might help in solving that issue where it turns on by itself.
