Asus N550 JV discontinued

The Asus N550JV has been discontinued and will be replaced by another model by the end of this month. Does anyone know the new model characteristics ? I need one urgently, but if the model characteristics were better, I expected a few more days.

well, my source are.. the stores. This laptop is almost sold out in all Portuguese stores and all the stores I contact, told me the same : there is no indication or prediction of delivery of the same model by Asus. If we combine this information with the fact that windows 8.1 be on sale within days, I believe it means that the model will be discontinued, replaced or at least will be quite altered at hardware level. I see no other reason why any vendor doesn't have this model in stock or prediction in the coming weeks.

I just bought ASUS N550 5 days ago in a UK ebay. I saw them in Germany and in BeNeLux and US and UK stores. I don't think it's end of life. UK and US models are better than others due to IPS panel and touchscreen.
