Asus N76VZ with 16 GB of ram

Hi, I have an Asus n76vz that came with 8gb of ram. Now the asus website says "DDR3 1600 MHz SDRAM, 2 x SO-DIMM socket for expansion up to 16 GB SDRAM", but i think that when i bought it said just 8 gb, because i remember that i wasn't sure whether upgrading. Should i try?

Your N76 comes with 8GB. There are 2 SODIMM slots in the notebook. As configured, both slots are filled with 4GB each. When you purchase the additional RAM, make sure you're getting 2x8GB sticks if you wish to max it out at 16GB.
