Asus or Alienware?

I'm trying to decide between these 2 products.

I love asus's products I have 2 asus monitors and 1 gpu so I love their products, i've never owned anything Alienware ever so I wouldn't know.

I like how the Alienware has a better gpu, and it's a bit smaller.

If you had the chance to pick one or the other which would you choose?
(I've built over 4 gaming rigs so I'm no newb to the Custom machine building and the PC world, but this would be my first "gaming" laptop."

my budget is strictly strictly $1000, not including tax.
 
For gaming, I'd shoot for the Alienware, as it has a better GPU and it will last you longer in regard to future games. If you want to compare performance of GPUs, check out notebookcheck.net

I think the Alienware is focused on gaming with the benefit of portability (small size), whereas the Asus is built to be portable (long battery life + small size) with the ability to game.
