prices range from $400 to 1000. No thanks.
I initially was interested in the netbook market for what you got for under $200, and nowadays, Under $100 seem interesting devices and gadgets to test out.

I feel less sympathy for devices that can not perform as well as a laptop, and cost much more!

Its Asus's work with pen input devices that interests me in their products. I saw a review for an eee note which is kindle with a touch screen effectively and something like that for hand writing notes and writing over power points in uni is a dream tablet device. I heard that they are working on a capacitive version of the technology which to date has proved problematic for companies. This would be perfect for media on the go and note taking, especially if you where able to dock it.

I keep thinking that tegra2 + steam would make a nice gaming platform. Especially with a docking station. Some of the atom devices and win 7 could possibly hand wow or Deus ex on the go. Not fantastic but beats angry birds anyday!
