ASUS sound cards and headset

Hello, i would like to know your opinions on ASUS Xonar DS 7.1 sound card. My current sound card is VIA, that located inside of AsRock P43de3...

Will i get a better sound by purchasing Asus Xonar DS 7.1, considering i have cheap headset "Sven AP-520"?

Or i`m trying to "improve Toyota Prius by putting a Platinum decorations on it`s wheels"?

What are your recommendations on the matter?
