Question ASUS touchpad not working

So I had a big problem. Last week, I cleaned my laptop with a cotton with a little bit of micellar water. I don't know what I was thinking why I used micellar water. But it got fixed after updating the touchpad in device manager. However, this Sunday. It stopped working again. I didn't do anything. The right click of the touchpad however responds but as a left click. I already did anything like updating the windows, BIOS, uninstalling and reinstalling the touchpad, downloading a newer version. I never thought of it that some water entered the touchpad because it did worked again and it was not fully wet. Please help me.

What is the make/model of your laptop?

The touchpad may simply be defective and need replaced.

Does an attached mouse work properly?
