asus upgrade question

I have an Asus G72GX and upgrading the CPU to an X9100 and I want to change the graphics card for a different one. Are there any recommendations and specifics that are needed?

You probably cannot change the GPU. I looked up that motherboard and if it is the same one you have it has a soldered GPU like most laptops.
