Asus X550CA does not display harddrive connected via USB port.

Hi all,
I have an Asus X550CA. I bought an SSD harddrive for upgrading purposes, and want to clone my existing harddrive. However, when i connect the SSD to USB port I do not see my SSD under drives in "my computer" . I can see the empty harddrive in disk management, however there's no F: drive under my computer.

Device Manager shows that USB ports are working correctly and have the latest drivers installed.
