Asus zenbook ux303ua touchscreen capabilities

Hi,
I am considering buying the Asus zenbook ux303ua as it is within my budget range. I wanted to know touch capabilities of the screen.
Can we using a stylus doing some light photoshop editing or drawing on the screen? or is touchscreen more limited to clicking/pressing icons?

The Zenbook ux303ua has the most common type of touchscreen which is a capacitive touchscreen. While you can "draw" with a capacitive pen there is no pressure sensitivity and is it not very precise.

If you want to actually draw on a touchscreen, you need to purchase a laptop that has an active digitizer and a digital pen. This adds to the cost of the laptop. All Surface and Surface Pro tablets and the Surfacebook are examples of devices with an active digitizer.

The following ThinkPad Yoga 14 has an active digitizer and includes the digital pen for $899. It is the least expensive laptop I am aware of which has an active digitizer.

A capacitive pen is nothing more a "pen" with rubber rounded tip.

A digital pen has a pointed tip that allows you to draw a line as thin as a single pixel on an screen with an active digitizer. It is also battery powered.

Thanks for your reply. I am not looking to do some serious drawing or sketching. My main intention with respect to using a stylus would be to have greater control when doing some photo editing on Adobe Photoshop or Lightroom.
If I have understood your response correctly, a capacitive pen should satisfy my purpose?

Lenovo thinkpad yoga2 has been stopped by lenovo. They have updated models which are expensive. I am not too keen on buying an already deprecated model as it is very likely even support for that laptop would stop soon.

I suppose a capacitive pen ought to be fine if the intent is not to draw or sketch. I do not use the programs you mentioned and I never used a capacitive pen. Pressing icons with a pen should be better than doing with your finger tip; especially if you have big hands.

If you are not in the US, then yeah, I suppose you cannot purchase the ThinkPad Yoga 14 since to the best of my knowledge it is exclusive to BestBuy. I believe Lenovo officially rebranded that laptop as the ThinkPad Yoga 14 460.
