Hi, I have an Asus Zenbook UX303UB and it has a really extremely poor battery life (around 2 hours with light/medium browsing). I know there has to be a punishment from the "4k" display, but I think it is rather too much.

I have already replaced the battery that came with the device. I have tested it on Windows and Linux Mint. Is there something that I might be missing or anything I could do to improve it's battery life at least to 4-5 hours?

Thanks a lot,

Greetings!

The battery you replaced it with, was it OEM or after market? If the latter, bad battery life is not shocking.

Also, it will depend on what you are doing on the device. Games, movies, other things like that will drain it faster than say just browsing.

You should reduce the resolution before you burn down the computer. I have the same model and it kept draining the battery and running at 60-70 degrees all the time. Simply adjust the resolution to full HD or 1600x900 and it'll get you both performance and thermal improvement.
