Solved! Audio is randomly dropped by one of my speakers

I've had this problem for over a year and I think I've suffered enough. My speakers are connected to my pc via aux, they are probably older than me. The problem is that the music stops playing from one of the speakers at random, which proves to be annoying. I've checked the channels on my aux cable for this issue and they both work properly, also, it seems to occur only when connected to my pc, the radio and CD player don't have that same problem. Could it be my sound card?

Try using your motherboard audio instead of the soundcard. That will tell you if the soundcard is at fault.
Try a different cable to connect the speakers to the PC. The plug at the PC end may be under stress and a barely broken wire can be frustrating.
