Audio not transferring to External Display

I'm using a Toshiba Satellite M645-S4070 laptop's Blu-ray player while hooked up and external display through an HDMI cable. For some reason though on some Blu-rays the audio cuts out only once the movie is started. So far I have not been able to find the cause of the situation. Any insight on how to get the audio to function properly would be appreciated.

I have used multiple cables and TV's. The problem is still present.

The audio returns if the computer is not hooked up to the external monitor.

Hello sesping;

Check Windows audio settings. Make the external device the default.
