Question Audio Problem no Spatial sounds?

I recently built a pc but i think the motherboard did't support 7.1 sourround sound or spatial sounds, i tried with an 3d audio adaptor but it did not work, should i buy a sound card and install it in my motherboard or just chage the motherboard to one that supports 7.1 audio, btw it is a gaming pc and i have trouble to locate where enemies are, thats's why i'm asking

Which 3d audio adaptor are you using?

A USB 7.1 headset could help as well
