Audio problem skips acer aspire 9800

Acer aspire 9800 running Windows 7 ultimate had no audio. Found driver for vista that fixed it except for periodic skipping/lag. How can I get perfect sound?

Do you mean a cracking sound from your speakers, because then it is a driver problem.

if there's a crackling sound there's a number of reasons that can be last one of them being drivers
