Hi I have a problem I wondered if you could help with please. I know nothing of speakers and such like.

I have the audio technica lp60 turntable but I also have Wharfdale diamond 9.0 speakers, I do not know how to connect them to the turntable though, the wharfedales have +/- screws in the back, I just don't know what to do to connect the turntables :(

Thank you

The above signals to me these are un-amplified speakers. You also know they are un-amplifier because you don't plug them into the wall.

In any audio system, there has to be am amplifier somewhere and your turntable doesn't have an amplifier either. What needs to happened is:

Turntable ---> Amplifier ---> Speakers.

So what happened to your amplifier? Some people call it a receiver, same thing.

Nope.

Do you have a boombox with an AUX input? AUX port may also exists on your desktop clock/radio, your PC, your laptop... if all you want to do is to see how the turntable sounds.

I would like to hook up the two, the speakers and the turntable, but I need an amp for passive speakers, do you know which amp would be suitable for these speakers?
