It will work but won't drive the woofers to their limit. An amp that would put out 1000w into 1 ohm would drive them 2-3 db louder which isn't a big deal in most situations.
Select 4 ohms for each woofer and connect them in parallel to the amp so it sees 2 ohms. That is the lowest limit it can tolerate. The amp will put out 647 watts. The speakers can handle 500 watts each continuous.
