Auxiliary input no longer works on creative x fi gamer in windows7

I installed windows 7, also the latest driver package for my X treme gamer card. The mixer shows the AUX input enabled, level up and not muted, yet I cannot get sound from the Aux in on the card. It worked fine for years in XP. Is there anything I can do to fix this? This how I get sound from my Roland Sound Canvas module.

you checked if the xtreme gamer is set as the main recording device in Windows sound settings?

if it is, try reinstalling the driver
