So, I was able to go into Control Panel and remove AVG there, but when I go into my C drive, I see the AVG folder there and I can't delete it. Tried deleting it in safe mode but no luck.

How do you delete a folder like this?

Thanks

Sorry. I should have been more clear. You want to run "Explorer" as administrator and then try and remove the AVG folder.

Try running explorer.exe as an Administrator. Type "explorer" into the start search bar. When it appears in the program list, right-click and select, 'Run as Administrator' and then try to delete the AVG folders.

Look up "AVG remover". It's on their website. I had troubles getting a bad install copy off my system. I re-installed and now works fine, but I couldn't get the thing removed with the normal installer. Other option, is look in task manager, find all the tasks that avg has going, find their respective file in the folder and then rename the files, close the tasks in the task manager then try to un-install. You'll have to manually delete the leftovers(the files you rename).
BTW, you'll have change the files from read-only status.

I'm not downloading anything from AVG again. Nothing in Task Manager has AVG running but I still cannot delete the AVG folder and any contents inside.
